WorldFest Regatta

The WorldFest~Houston Yacht Club Regatta is on Sunday the 20th of April 2008. The coaches will leave The Renaissance Hotel promptly at 10am on Sunday morning! Private cars can follow the busses to Space Center Houston for the VIP tour of NASA and Space Center Houston. We will leave NASA at around 12:30pm for the Houston Yacht Club. All WorldFest guests will be assigned a yacht & crew (attire: white-soled boat or tennis shoes only please, no black soled jogging shoes. Landlubbers and non-sailors can be assigned to big motor yachts that will follow the sailboat race. Bring a windbreaker or sweater) for the 3-hour Olympic triangle "fun race" which will be over at approx. 3:30pm. The boats will then return to the HYC for the Texas BBQ and live mariachi music. The buses will return at 6pm, going to the AMC Studio 30 Dunvale festival theater first, in time for the 7:15pm closing film, then on to The WorldFest HQ Renaissance Hotel. You can easily make a 9pm flight or earlier if you are packed with your own car. This is the exciting "Signature Event" of WorldFest each year!
